Again Antifa Attacks a Guy They Thought was Andy Ngo & the Guy is Antifa? (Update: It WAS Andy)

Antifa Being Racist 7 / Who Does Antifa Actually Attack 19

It seems that yet again Antifa are racist by their own standards not just because they intentionally attacked a member of a marginalized group but also because they apparently think they all look alike… …again! Here’s the funny part; they may attacked one of their own… …again! The person they attacked was (or they thought he was) Dr. No, I mean Andy Na-Go, I mean Gary Gnu, I mean Dr. Know, I mean Andy Ngo and this wouldn’t the first time this has happened!

The following is from 2020…

Andy Ngo is a reporter who, among other things, reports on Antifa, Portland Antifa in particular. He has done a lot of on-the-ground reporting and a lot of writing with the Post Millennial (he’s their “editor-at-large”) and his recent Amazon best selling book Unmasked: Inside Antifa’s Radical Plan to Destroy Democracy. He’s famous for being attacked by Antifa.

If it is a case of mistaken identity, it would be fair to say that it was probably more because of the man’s resemblance to Andy Ngo in particular than to the terrorist’s inability to differentiate between Asians in general but since they are not fair they are not worthy of being held to fair standards. Though they whine about it, they deserve to be held to their own double standards instead.

This article by Zane Sparling was posted at some point before he tweeted it at 8:11am

Sparling’s article reads…

Left-wing protesters chased down, attacked and unmasked a man they believe to be the right-wing author Andy Ngo in disguise during a downtown Portland protest on Friday, May 28.

The Portland Tribune has not independently confirmed the fleeing man's identity, and Ngo did not immediately issue any public statements on the matter.

One longtime protest observer told the Tribune he saw Ngo working out at a gym in a southeast Portland neighborhood one week ago, with gym staff reportedly greeting Ngo by name.

The Friday evening protest — which had lasted for several uneventful hours, at least by Portland standards — had not been declared an unlawful assembly or riot by authorities as the clock neared 11:30 p.m., with the crowd of perhaps 100 marching through the city without any reports of property damage before returning to a staging area outside the Multnomah County Justice Center.

At that point, many in the group became suspicious of a fellow protester, who was wearing tinted oversized ski goggles, a mask that obscured his face, black clothing and a Black Lives Matter flag worn as a cloak. Protesters said the man was attending the demonstration alone and did not respond to questions.

Suddenly, a foot chase broke out — with around a dozen people chasing the person they believed to be Ngo away from the Justice Center. The man attempted to seek refuge in several buildings but was eventually tackled to the ground and struck repeatedly. His goggles and cape were torn from him.

The man then fled up Morrison Street and received shelter inside the swanky The Nines hotel. He was seen crouching behind the front desk as confused clerks attempted to secure the premises. Protesters chanted and pounded on the glass windows all the while.

"I want Andy Ngo!" one cried.

"He's hiding right here!" said another.

"Come on out!" shouted a third.

The man eventually entered an elevator and was not seen again.

Portland Police Bureau officers, who had already made at least one targeted arrest earlier in the night, soon arrived by van and arrested another person outside the hotel. The arrested person's phone continued to stream video from inside an evidence bag.

Officers eventually withdrew from the scene, leaving a small crowd to tangle with hotel valets and befuddled guests.

Further down Sparling writes…

There have been several incidents in which Asian men attending protests have been confused with Andy Ngo...

Skipping ahead a bit…

A spokesman for the Portland Police Bureau said officers arrived outside the hotel after learning that "someone was being chased and assaulted."

Officers "did stand by to allow an injured person to get in an ambulance," said police Sgt. Kevin Allen. "I cannot release the name of the person involved."

Ngo and The Nines hotel did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Willamette Week’s article on this included this photo and caption…

The article adds the following to the basic story laid out by Sparling’s article above…

The enraged group pulled on the hotel’s front doors and shouted, “You wanna kill us? You wanna kill us, Andy?” at The Nines staff while the hotel staff frantically tried to hold the entrance closed.

The person hiding in The Nines appeared to be Ngo to this reporter—who saw him in the light of an elevator as he entered it and faced the front before the doors closed. But Ngo has not responded to WW’s inquiries whether he was assaulted, and has released no public statements about the incident.

Further down they write…

The staff of The Nines didn’t seem to have any knowledge of who Ngo is. They repeatedly asked the crowd to clarify what was going on. Eventually they asked for the group to leave.

The person believed to be Ngo was not observed leaving the hotel, so the crowd waited in front of The Nines for at least an hour, telling people entering the hotel that it was “sheltering a Nazi.”

A group of five to 10 people in identity-obscuring clothing called “black bloc” followed the person they suspected of being Ngo for blocks, inquiring who he was. At one point, the person they pursued said his name was Jake. In front of the AC Marriott, the group tried to unmask the unknown man. He ran for blocks until someone in the pursuing group tackled him—at Southwest 4th Avenue and Morrison Street—and punched him several times after his head hit the brick sidewalk.

A nearby man holding a skateboard admonished the group, saying that their quarry looked like he’d “had enough.” However, when someone nearby shouted that the person they were assaulting was Ngo, the skateboard-carrying man changed his attitude, swearing and joining the group.

When the fleeing man took shelter in The Nines, he appeared to be pleading with staff. “They’re going to kill me,” he said.

At midnight, Portland police arrived at The Nines on bicycles, along with a riot van, and made at least one arrest. As of Saturday morning, police had not released any information on the incident.

At 5:45pm Townhall put out “Andy Ngo Reportedly Assaulted by Portland Riotersby Rebecca Downs which includes an image of what appears to be Andy Ngo holding a BLM sign…

Andy Ngo…was reportedly assaulted overnight in Portland…

Further down they report…

…Ngo has not tweeted or spoken about the reported assault, though his tweets and retweets Friday afternoon and evening indicate he's in Portland…

Critiquing Smith’s piece about this for Willamette Week which we looked at above, Downs writes…

While Smith's reporting provided helpful context, she nevertheless went through great lengths to portray protesters as "peaceful," even as she herself acknowledges "the crowd threw raw eggs."

She also heavily scrutinized Ngo, who may have been an assault victim, for how his "willingness to post the mugshots and other personal information of protest arrestees has caused many of the people in Portland’s leftist movement to see him as something like an existential threat."

Is that supposed to make the actions above acceptable then?

Meanwhile, as I write these words Andy Ngo has not tweeted since the night of the protest on May 28th and his own Post Millennial doesn’t seem to know if he was assaulted in Portland or not. Mia Cathell reports that, “The Post Millennial has not been able to independently verify the assault” and, “Ngo, who is an editor-at-large at The Post Millennial, has been reached for comment but has not responded by the time of publication.”

She adds…

"I can't wait for you to come out, Andy!" can be heard shouted on-camera. "You thought the milkshakes were bad last time? We're gonna beat the f— out of you, b*tch," a female voice yelled, hurling allegations of racism at the man.

Further down…

"Barricade the Nines," an Antifa account ordered. "This [motherf—er] can never feel safe here," another tweeted. Ngo was reportedly transported to the hospital.

A spokesman for the Portland Police Bureau told The Portland Tribune that officers "did stand by to allow an injured person to get in an ambulance." However, the spokesperson could not release the name of the person involved.

See the links below for my reports about antifa attacking and killing people whom they claim to protect from fascists. When this mystery about Andy Ngo is solved I will add an update here.

UPDATE

Beginning at 9:42pm on June 2, Ngo tweeted this thread…

Also on June 2nd…

Andy Ngo responds to May 2021 Antifa assault” by Andy Ngo @AndyNgo on Odysee.

June 3rd…

Antifa: 'I can't wait for you to come out Andy'" by Andy Ngo @AndyNgo on Odysee.

Antifa: 'I can't wait for you to come out Andy'“ by Andy Ngo @AndyNgo on Odysee.

Now we wait for so-called “journalists” to entirely ignore the point and to carry on as if antifa are not wanna-be-fascists and as if they (the so-called “journalists” and antifa) it is ok to be against freedom of the press, freedom of speech, the freedom to go anywhere in public without being violated and so on. Fuck these people. If only being stupid and unethical caused immediate pain!
